Robert J. Petisi Partner Bob Petisi has combined every aspect of marketing communications into one career. Beginning on the client side in sales and marketing with Armstrong World Industries, Bob successfully made the switch to the agency/account service side. He joined Robert Landau Associates in 1979 and advanced to become Manager of its Detroit office, building Ford into a major client. He joined HMG Worldwide as President/Promotion Division, building a team of 60 people handling nearly $10 million in revenues. Bob sold and developed agency-of-record relationships with Miller Brewing (winning two distinguished Reggie awards), British Airways, M&M Mars, Kal Kan, Haines, Kraft, Hertz, Coca-Cola Foods and Universal Studios. In 1988, Bob became President & CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Promotions Inc. Beginning with one client and three employees, Bob built it to 25 people with clients including General Mills, AT&T, Little Caesars and Hertz. Bob then co-founded his own agency, Dryden & Petisi Inc., which he built to 50 people and sold to Bates Worldwide in 1995. Clients included Miller, Heublein, MasterCard, Sprint, TWA, Avis, CBS Television, Hilton an R.C. Cola. More recently, Bob was President & CEO of the MCA agency, part of Marketing Corporation of America. He was also Senior VP/Market Development for The Thomson Corporation, ending up as Chairman of Drake Beam Morin Inc., a newly acquired $250 million global outplacement firm, where he grew revenues +40% and doubled earnings in 18 months. Since 2003, Bob has consulted for companies in the area of business development, organizational productivity, strategic marketing and integrated growth programs. He has counseled three separate, high-end private equity firms during some critical due diligence phases, while assisting the partners to increase deal flow. Bob received his B.S. in Marketing from the University of Rhode Island, where he is a board member of the College of Business and a trustee of the University. Bob is active in many Connecticut charities including Near and Far Aid, The Discovery Museum and the Connecticut Economic Development Council. Bob resides with his wife and son in Southport, CT. |
