Melissa Gerard Ross Senior Account Director Melissa brings the perspective of media planner to the StoreBoards sales team. As a former planner herself, she knows what her StoreBoard clients are looking for. A communications major, she started her career on the agency side as an assistant planner at Mediaedge. There she learned the ropes of media planning on the GlaxoSmithKline pharmaceuticals account. Her knowledge of the business earned Melissa a promotion to Media Planner in just 9 short months. Two years later, her success on the Glaxo account led to an offer from the Carat agency to work as the Media Planner on Procter & Gamble's baby care products. With pharma experience in hand, Melissa joined Carat to deepen her planning experience and to broaden her expertise in package goods. As her responsibilities grew, she found that one of the aspects she enjoyed most was her interaction with the clients and brand managers. Her love of the business and especially of direct contact with people, prompted Melissa to consider transitioning her role from buyer to seller. As luck would have it, her goal to move into sales became a reality when she was recruited by StoreBoards Media to join their sales team. Melissa's understanding of the needs of her clients combined with her media knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm make her a pleasure to work with for both her clients and her team mates. On a personal note, Melissa grew up in Garden City, Long Island where she excelled in team sports - especially field hockey. As a former captain of an undefeated NY State championship team, she plans on applying her team spirit to her current position at StoreBoards. |
