Joe Sullivan Vice President Retail Partnerships Joe Sullivan brings a pragmatic approach to the business as a result of spending nearly 30 years in and around the in-store environment. Joe’s career got its start working the sales counter at the family owned auto parts store and has continued in a variety of roles ever since. Joe’s professional career has exposed him to such key areas as Sales, Sales Management, Category Management, Merchandising Services, Business Development and Data Analysis. Joe’s professional career began in the food broker industry at M.W. Houck in metro New York. Over a ten year period, Joe progressed from an entry level sales representative to eventually become a Group Sales Manager and ultimately to Director level positions in Merchandising and Category Management. Following his broker days, Joe worked at AC Nielsen supporting the Bristol-Meyers Squibb Consumer Sales Organization and at internet start-up Priceline Webhouse in a business development role. In 2000, Joe was recruited by News America Marketing to take on a business development position in their Merchandising Services division. In short order, Joe turned his region into a consistent multi-million dollar region while penetrating new classes of trade such as Dollar stores and convenience stores. During his time at News America, he managed key clients such as Rite Aid, Novartis, Panasonic, Masterfoods, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Hershey, SCA Marketing, B&G Foods and General Mills. Joe is a graduate of Fordham University with a BA in English Literature. Outside of work he is an avid, some would say fanatical, fan of college football and with a name like Sullivan you can figure out which team has his loyalty!!! When not gathered around the TV rooting for the Fighting Irish, Joe devotes his time to his wife Denise and their three children. Joe is active in his local parish, schools and his children’s sports teams. |
