Halls Wraps Up Cold & Flu Season

Cadbury Adams' Halls is fighting winter ailments on security pedestal ads at drugstores and supermarkets this month.

The brand tapped into the network operated by StoreBoard Media, New York, to place pedestal wraps in 3,021 retail locations, including 2,600 CVS/pharmacy stores, all 239 Duane Reade drugstores and 182 Jewel-Osco supermarkets.

Ads at Jewel-Osco and Duane Reade promote the Halls Naturals product line. Because CVS doesn't sell that line, Halls instead touts its flagship product line at the chain.

The campaign broke Dec. 29, 2008 and will run through Jan. 25 in 10 markets: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.

StoreBoard's ad network consists of more than 13,000 stores and can deliver more than 500 million gross impressions each month, according to the company. The media operator has exclusive contracts with CVS, Longs Drugs, Duane Reade and Jewel-Osco, and has also installed programs at Walgreens and Rite Aid. (See Related Articles.)
